Inaugurated on July 20, 1972, the Bogotá Wholesale Market (Corabastos) is a fundamental part of the distribution and marketing chain for agricultural products in Colombia.
In October 2024, the District Tourism Institute (IDT) presented the Corabastos Tourist Corridor, a route that will allow visitors and locals to explore one of the most important commercial epicenters in Colombia and Latin America. This new tourist route offers a unique experience that combines the gastronomic tradition, history, and vibrant culture that characterize this iconic wholesale market.
Located in the southwest of the city, it covers more than 42 hectares and houses more than 5,000 commercial establishments. It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, receiving an average of 12,000 vehicles and serving approximately 80,000 people daily.
As a mixed-economy company, it operates under the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Cundinamarca Governorate, and the Bogotá Mayor's Office, which hold 47.92% of the official shares; the commercial sector holds 52.08%. This organizational structure reinforces its relevance in the country's agri-food sector.

¿Cómo Llegar?
Corabastos is located at Carrera 80 # 2-51. To get there by car, head southwest on Avenida Boyacá until you reach Carrera 80 and follow the signs to Corabastos. Upon arrival, you'll find designated parking areas at the market, making it easy to access the facilities.If you prefer public transportation, you can take the TransMilenio to the Portal de Las Américas station. From there, take a feeder bus that will take you near the main entrance of Corabastos. You can also take SITP bus routes that serve the Kennedy area and have stops nearby, giving you direct access to the market.
